Just heard on the radio that the JK show has been cancelled as one of the participants died shortly after recording. ITV have announced an investigation and it is feared it may never return. Anyone on here miss it if it vanishes?

It's the television equivalent of going down to Bedlam to poke the lunatics through the bars. It makes a deal of 'helping' people because it infers that it is not the irredeemable mockery of socially inadequate people parading their dysfunctional lives for the entertainment of others - but it is anyway.

sorry, missed my answer out, which is no

Does this mean Danniella Westbrook has lost a platform for publicity?
Did the guest die due to the show? Very confusing if not.. people die every day. It's not a rare thing. In fact, it's the only thing guaranteed in life.
They died after the show so really baffled as to why they’ve cancelled the show.
I watch it sometimes but find the shouting too much.
Died a week after the episode was filmed and it is being investigated by police. Something tragic must have happened to the guest in the week following the filming.
Smow, maybe there is a suspicion that something on the show may have been a contributory factor in the death.
^^^^ and no I wouldn't miss it
I would miss it. I love Jeremy Kyle! Makes me look at my own life, my own family and think.. well at least im not that bad! Its funny and despite what most people think, they do a lot of good when the shows are about addicts and people with mental health issues.
There is a lot of odd people in the world and these types of programme don't help. I remember this incident:

I actually never watch it. I used to...

It depends how he died. The article doesn't say.

I'll be glad if it never returns. Complete garbage as far as I'm concerned.
Never ever watched it....or anything else on morning/afternoon TV...prefer radio during the day, if in.
Like BagPuss says, they do a lot of good with their aftercare.

The only time i ever catch any of the episodes is when i'm decorating occupied houses - much of my work is in unoccupied dwellings. I would never watch it voluntarily - and maybe not even on pain of death. I also believe that something that happened within the withdrawn episode may have been a factor in the person's death and i'm just surprised that this is the first time such a thing has occurred. If, indeed, that is what happened.
Never watched a whole episode. I’ve seen bits when husband has inexplicably been watching.
I’ve vaguely known people who’ve been on it. It’s like a free holiday for them. They’re put up in some dismal hotel with free food and booze, and encouraged to lay into each other for other people’s entertainment. Nasty show.
I find it fascinating at times. I can't believe people shout at each like they do. I don't even like shouting the kids down for dinner!!! I just don't like shouting in general.
Yes I'd miss it and agree with everything bagpuss says.
I haven't watched it in years, the television package I have now does not include JK, I can't say I 'liked' it but I did watch it if it was on, it did help some people and I liked when he'd have the children on that had serious illness' or whatever and they'd tell of how they cope with people staring at them etc., they were so strong, then I think of the guy that set fire to his home and some of his children died, he used the JK show as a platform to say why he had so many children and he was a sponger of sorts, so I reckon with emotions tense and old feuds brought to the fore - there's bound to be a backlash somewhere. The show did more good and I do think while many think of it as some freak show (the lack of teeth, the crazy clothes and the shouting of course) a lot of good for most families came out of it
