Does that ring any bells? I had misremembered it as Family at War but it's not that... the closing titles were a slow dolly zoom along a straight path in a forest with dramatic music....

For some reason I'm thinking The Cedar Tree, but can't remember its closing titles.
Are you thinking of "Secret Army"? It wasn't a series I watched but I seem to remember the titles involved a track through woods.
Would you recognise the music?

yes no
it is either Secret Army or another one in that stable - hur hur horsey

poplar trees as in France

I seenk it is the series where the German officer is courtmartialled in the very final episode in a british POW camp and Herr flick ( Cherman GOC ) requests one bullet ( ! ! ) and shoots the german officer for cowardice ....
Memory plays funny tricks

Colditz - I remember my father saying they werent thin enough or ragged enough after five years without a change. Also they didnt have enough food related activities ( they were all starving)

but it was transmitted five y after his death so it must have been another one

secret army had a CCTV episode - the gestapo monitored the square outside Rene's cafe on 1940s technology teevee and Dad was similarly caustic about that too
( dead for a long time - he couldnt have commented )
My first thought was Secret Army. This might jog your memory, badhorsey...
