Look forward to it - shame it's the last series.
Me - I love it.
Yes I love watching any series or films about Greece and the Islands. I find the elder two Durrell boys tend to over act but that is just my opinion.
Yes, I look forward to watching it too.
Is this the last series ...(their final days in Corfu)??
Having read all the Gerald Durrell books I watched a couple of episodes but couldn't quite get my head round the characters. Suppose I had imagined what they looked like and it didn't match with the TV series.
It is the last series, pomona
Its good old fashioned escapism, bit like " Heartbeat" and "All Creatures Great and small" and "Doc Martin" is. Love it!
A beautiful series!
I love the opening graphics, too. Charming
Every time I watch it, I start googling property prices in Corfu.
Could someone kindly refresh my memory. How was Lesley Durrell put in the clear when he was stitched up for being the Father of the Greek girl's child. Obviously no DNA testing in those days.
Was it because Lesley let her Father off the hook for smuggling gaspers when he was a Corfu cop?
Leslie discovered that the pregnancy was far more advanced than it should have been and he couldn’t possibly be the father. She confessed and told her father.
Thanks hc. That explanation jogs my memory.
I am afraid tonight's episode was totally implausible with regard to the Safari expedition in my opinion.
Could any one tell me what make and model is Spiros's Taxi.
I am guessing a Fiat, Lancia or some other Italian vehicle. The Greeks can build ships but motor cars? :-)
It's an 86 year old Dodge and in real life Spiros bought it all the way from America, the first car on that island
I was wrong - this is what the production said:

We used a 1926 Oldsmobile purchased in the UK and shipped out to Corfu. The real Spiro Americanos drove a 1920's Dodge but we weren't able to source a reliable runner of this make to use for our filming.
Keely Hawes is gorgeous!
Just proves you can have an
excellent programme without
swearing and rubbish sez scenes.
