Not me - off to bed early with a good book
Agree with you 100% Tora, but them that likes it, likes it, and there are a fair few of them so it's good policy to screen it x
Still only got ITV where you are TTT?
I've got Freeview on the tv and a Humax box, so record what I want to watch, which is very little on the 'main channels' now. The programmes seem so silly and trivial these days.
You should inform the next of kin

FF no I have SkyQ, I just think of channels BBC 1 and ITV as the mainstream and as a kid it was always special on xmas night. I guess I just think it's sad that we have this tish on. Most of it should not be on before the watershed in my view anyway but they seem to get away with it.
ITV always has and always will, put on what ever will get the most viewers . They are paid according to how many people watch the programs and therefore the adverts in the breaks. Coronation Street is, and has been for decades the most widely viewed program on any UK TV station. Emmerdale is right up there in the top 5 of the viewing list as well. Christmas night is the time with the highest number of viewers of the entire year. Well over 11 million viewers I believe?
I love it.

Mrs Deskdiary watches Eastenders (which as far as I can tell is just full of angry people shouting at each other) and Corrie, so I sit in another room and try to catch Alexa out with song choices (I have yet to succeed), and then when the shouty soaps are over we convene to watch something we both like.

We've just watched White Gold - which is absobloodlylutely excellent.

Ah thank you Mamya that makes sense now :) x
I didn't know that was what the traffic lights were all about. Now I can go back to sleep and be at one with the world. (If I can move Frankie off my pillow).

I watched stuff I'd recorded, knowing the mainstream would be the tosh it always is on Xmas day.
