The contestants on tonight’s edition of celebrity Mastermind comprised an Asian man, an openly gay man, a transgender, and a man in a wheelchair. Four boxes ticked. Classic modern BBC PC. How do you feel about the BBC doing this? Did you prefer it when the BBC weren’t obsessed with ticking boxes when lining up people for their programmes, or do you like it this way? I guess there must now be a department at the BBC devoted to making these politically correct choices

I think the OP is correct. The BBC seem to be obsessed with this kind of thing.

as Rhett Butler said.......
Was a decent show, enjoyed it.
I found it entertaining and funny. Their ‘differentness’ never entered my head. Maybe the PC shyt is in your head?

I feel you are right to point this out, well done! Your first three respondents above are all well known p.c. apologists.
This responder is partially sighted and mainly listened to and enjoyed the questions and answers on this television quiz show.

I shall allow the more erudite on here to analyse light entertainment for me and start threads about it.

Basically, I couldn't give a stuff.
Wow and the award for the rudest answer on this thread goes to... bet you can't guess...
Seriously Khandro is there any reason to be so rude?
Your 4th respondent usually gets his news from Brietbart. ‘Nuff said.
Words I like, in no particular order:

Acolyte
Aloof
Thrawn
Cassette
Babaganoush
Behemoth
Erudite
Cadence
I tend to lump 'babaganoush' in with 'hobnob' as an example of what a lazy Hugh Dennis reaches for when he's phoning it in.
Zacs//Your 4th respondent usually gets his news from Brietbart.//

Are you suggesting that Breitbart is any less biased than the BBC?
Try Stormfront it's marginally less so Khandro lol
You should be more careful how you describe people you know nothing about Khandro, I am an apologist for nothing and nobody.
I'm another viewer who never thought about 'boxes ticked'. I watched, and enjoyed it, without knowing who - or what - 3 of them were. No doubt you were so disgusted at this blatant BBC PC, that you switched off immediately.
Anyone would think that gay, transgender, Asian an disabled people make up zero percent of the population... or maybe they should be forcibly hidden away so we can pretend they don't exist...
I admired their knowledge but categorising them went tiddlywinks on me.
But did you enjoy the programme or were you too busy ticking off boxes?

Khandro, the BBC are said to plant people on websites like this to counter criticism. Just sayin’
