Seeing Bohemian Rhapsody that is (yesterday)
I know theres been other OPs on here about it (Ive read them...) but:
Why do some people....in this case a minority it would appear...feel the need to rubbish something that others are finding great enjoyment in?
There was a DJ recently on local radio who absolutely rubbished the film. It was tosh, awful, unrealistic etc. And yet everyone I know who has seen the film thoroughly enjoyed it, as did I.
There were a few artistic liberties taken but there had to be in order to fit someone's entire life into a 2hr film. Has there ever been a biopic that is 100% accurate??

Some of these critics need to get a life of there own. Anyway, fantastic film, great performance from Rami Malek, superb music and the end set (Live Aid) was accurate even down to the Pepsi cups on Mercury's piano.

Thoroughly recommended.....

Thanks, Nails but I couldn't stand F. M. He gave me the creeps, to be honest.

Glad you enjoyed the film.

LOL Tills, perhaps he wasn't everyones cup of tea, :-)

Am curious as to why he gave you the creep tho!
He just did. Maybe it was the prancing about on stage and the teeth? :-0

Ta...
...he had such a BIG mouth!
you represent what I have heard about it - if a Queen fan, then fab - if not, then dreary......very much two camps on this film, no pun intended.
I'd expect people, DJs or not, to say they didn't like a film if they didn't. It doesn't mean they need to get a life, they just hold different opinions from other people.

As to why - well, critics (and DJs) may have seen dozens of biopics about musicians and think this isn't as good as others. Whereas Queen fans may only have seen this one and have nothing to compare it with.

Or whatever. I won't be seeing it because I was never a huge Queen fan anyway. Nothing to do with the teeth, though.
Not my cup of tea either Nails. Bohemian Rhapsody always creeps me out as well. Every time I fail to avoid listening to it, I can't help but think it is a confession about infecting someone with AIDS.
His teeth were not an issue for me. The Bee Gees had "massive chew sets".
May have a good point there Togo. Who knows what some modern lyrics are supposed to say?
^^^^^
Lol @ Togo.

Glad you enjoyed the film Nailit.
I enjoyed the film, although I felt Rami had a little problem with the teeth prostethis at the beginning. I love Queen and listen to their music frequently, but my favourite song is Barcelona with Montserrat Caballé, I was sorry that was not performed in the film. But it was good, and if you are any way a Queen fan, well worth seeing.

You're not wrong DTC. I am a Queen fan, but dreary it is not. Ive seen many a biopic of people that Im not a fan of and still enjoyed the film for its own sake. (faults, inaccuracies etc and all)
For a poor boy I find it very ,very ,frightening.
Bohemian Rhapsody Song = 1975
HIV Status determined = 1987

I think providing you are aware that FM's life has been condensed and made more family-friendly, the film ought to be very enjoyable. I'm not sure whether I'll get to the cinema to see it, but will most probably buy the DVD.

Fair play Togo, even tho BR was a long time before the AIDS thing, but respect that...
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially as Vue in York is less than £5 for every film.

Queen (or at least Freddie) are on record as saying that their lyrics are supposed to mean what you want them to mean.
Says more about the questioner than the questionee... (if theres such a word)
