Not there yet, Minty.
That's what we thought Minty. Started off well but went down hill. Not sure what the note said. Think it said I love you at the end.
I couldn’t read it either. Not even when I paused it, went right up to the telly and squinted!

What a load of rubbish. It only needed one episode.
Man goes abroad and finds out his dead wife was a lying cheat.
Man goes home, claims the life insurance, sticks 2 fingers up to dead wife, and enjoys spending the money.
I think it said, "if you're reading this sorry I could not tell you"
Something like that.
“If you’re reading this you’ve found out before I could tell you.”

Or words to that effect.
We all read the note differently. I thought it said something like---Jonah, if you ever find this letter. I never got round to telling you what a great guy you are------
No, andres. It was defo, “before I could tell you myself.” I’d double check if I hadn’t deleted it when it finished. :)

Ta all...xx
An inconclusive ending then? I do hate that!
what about
You've lasted until the end ....

I didnt by the way
Chrissa --yes it said something like--If you are reading this ???????. I never got the chance to tell you myself'
Just caught this on the ITV+1 but that's as far as I got because it wasn't on the screen long enough to read it.
I only caught the last sentence of the letter and i think it read, "It was always you." Which is so twee it's almost sickening.
I was hoping he would spend 5 minutes at the end explaining every thing to his ex in London, I'm so glad it's finished, I always expect these things to improve!
What “ex” in London? I thought she was his sister.
andres is right what the letter said
I think Emma in London was his uni friend not ex, but not really sure as I got confused with alot of the programme
The Radio Times website confirms what i said.
john simm has been in some fine dramas, why did he get involved in this nonsense ... a free holiday to hong kong perhaps?

A very weak ending. Should have been his wife's voice reading the card. Then we we wouldn't have had to guess what was on it.
That would have been a much better idea rainydays.
