Good grief that was awful. I knew she would be irritating having watched her cringe worthy interviews pre Dr. Who but....? tonight's episode should have stunned, should have been yeh this is a good move'. No. Dr. Who should not be gender specific -it is an alien FFS, not a northern lass with a 'gob on'. So what will be her USP? A sonic tampon? god help the Daleks should they meet her 'at her time of the month' annihilation . Could be interesting. We have been avid Dr' Who fans forever. First episode this series 4/10... could do better.

I read the OP and knew it was tongue in cheek and can't understand why some others didn't !! AL is as entitled to her opinion as anyone on here is and I can't understand some of the nastiness, par for the course on here I suppose. I personally do not like a female Dr. Who and couldn't care less what anybody thinks of that. Mind you I've not been a fan of Dr. Who for a while...

I knew it would be though.
I have formed that view by noticing that every episode I have actually watched was crap.

Jon Gummidge was the first Dr I remember and it was crap, all the other were crap too.

All in all crap is as it gets imo.

Thn we are on the same page mamylynne.
//A sonic tampon?//

Haha then a pink Tardis to be worn on the head with an ongoing weight issue, acompanied by an overbearing, heavily pierced tattooed lesbian partner with an
asymmetrical bright purple aposematic mental illness haircut. Just to amuse the children you understand.

Talbot you are being far too harsh. There have been moments in the crap....scary behind the sofa moments. Dr. Who brings back happy memories of my kids when they were small waiting every week for Dr. Who, dragging me around Woolworths ( RIP) looking for the bloody face of Bo (look it up) and other plastic overpriced crap they really really needed ( now in boxes in the garage, unloved and not looked at for years) . Its just gone downhill rapidly, such a shame.
Question Author
Togo as some God is my witness if they make the Tardis Pink that will be the straw....just saying...
Ooooo that hurt me so much boo hoo!
If you have to insult someone to try and prove a point ‘aunt Lydia ‘ then you have already lost.

Tedious and not quirky enough - I`ll watch some more but I`m not hopeful it will improve.

I thought it was entertaining, but I won’t be making a point of watching it. I think DrWho peaked with David Tennant’s acting and Terry Nations clever and imaginative plots.

Zacs Master; Totally agree with you. The writers are so important, and David Tennant to me was 'The Doctor' Although I've been watching it since the 1970's.
Jon Pertwee was ‘my’ doctor (the one you most identify with as a kid). The low point was Sylvester McCoy who was quite simply......dire. The current one is much better than that.
There have been quite a few changes to the Tardis (none pink of course).

Can't vouch for all the companions but I don't think Bradley Walsh is lesbian.

Certainly it's changed over the decades, not always for the best - nothing will ever suit all.

Oh Dear.......
And this certainly isn’t your first incarnation is it.
I responded to your question and gave a full response you have then continually sniped and barked at me, so yes you have a problem and as predicted by Sunny-Dave your real personality is showing through again
Question Author
I think we can agree Bradley Walsh is not lesbian. Dr. Who should not be sexual! Its fantasy! Dr. Who is an alien and we are not sure how they actually 'do it' on Gallifry, though he had a 'mum' and 'Dad' so I don't think they are hermaphrodite .
Question Author
Rockrose: have a lovely evening. I have no intentions of feeding you . Go have a nice bath, candles, some choccies and a glass of wine. xxxxx
Actually, thinking about it...Worzel Gummidge was far more convincing that Dr Who.

Now's I is gonna takes me handsome head off and put my sleepy head on...goodnight all.
