Last Night Of The Proms

Just watching proms. Can anyone tell me why there are twin screens at the back of the Albert hall ?

This year there has been a whole row of screens above the orchestra, where the choir often stands.

I think the TV cameras have picked some of them up where the choir is not standing... Maybe?

Have only been to a couple of Proms this year, but it seems to have more energy injected this year.

I think they are there to receive images from the regional proms, and to enable the various audiences to interact with each other.

Just love the Last Night of the Proms. It gets me right in the heart. I find it so emotional.

OH loves it as well. I'm not into it at all.
I kind of like it as it's a marker that we're coming to the end of our busy working season. First weekend in September; not too long to go :)

Loved it as usual, but I thought the guy who sang the Soliloquy from Carousel, murdered it.
Gordon MacRae’s rendition in the musical was, fantastic.
