Walk away.

Uuwes Facebook

Our website is an online marketplace offering consumers great deals and the ability to serve the needs of users while shopping online. We committed to becoming the most reliable and trusted marketplace on our website don't only deliver products - we also deliver the best shopping experience.

Looks very scant and I would walk away.
ZM, not all of us are Facebook users. Not even Jesus.

Don't need to be on FB, just Google 'uuwes' and there it is.
All you have to do, like I did, is type Uuwes into a search engine, danny. Simple.
OP did say that's where they were, so that's where I looked.
Oh, OK...a US site. Perhaps OP might come back and clarify...

Thanks for comments, but Has anyone been successful in purchasing
OK....so smart TVs for not-so-smart customers....
ZM, not so simple I googled it and nothing came up./
Use a better search engine like me and Balders, then.
ZM Quite satisfied with google thank you.Signing off now as we have derailed this thread.
I simply can't see why you're persisting in trying to buy from a website that has all the hallmarks of being a scam.

Here's the company's website, which I reached from the link on their Facebook page:
http://www.uuwes.com/
So they seem to be a specialist trader in bouncy castles (etc), which would hardly inspire me with any great confidence about their knowledge when it comes to Smart TVs.

Running that web address through a Whois search shows that the company has deliberately sought to hide their contact details by using an anonymising service. NO reputable trader would EVER do that. ONLY scammers do it.

The ONLY contact options available on the website are an online form (which you've told us doesn't get a response anyway) and a Gmail address. NO reputable trader uses a Gmail web address. If they're going to offer an email address to customers it's ALWAYS one which uses their own domain name. e.g. '[email protected]' might appear to be legitimate. '[email protected]', which is what is shown on the website, most definitely does NOT.

Further, googling their email address DOESN'T find any legitimate company using it but it DOES find several links that include things like 'suspected scam' and 'fraudulent email'.

Looking through the website DOESN'T find a postal address (which is always worrying) but it DOES find examples of very poor English (which again is worrying). e.g. "For intime synchronous updating and accurate stock of products on sale,it is a kind suggestion that all the products shown on agent website here should be provided by our company here. Any new updating will be timely emailed or via call to notice you. Meanwhile, also you are greatly welcome to feedback us any new products in potential marketing, enforcing our business cooperation also. And we will in time reply you after studying marketing here"

The website states that shipping is handled by 'Air INTERNATIONAL EMS Express Company', which is based in CHINA (thus strongly suggesting that's where Uuwes is also based). While shipping is free (if any products are actually ever sent out at all, of course!) there's no mention of customs duties. If you were to order a TV set for £200, say, you'd get clobbered for £28 in Import Duty + 20% of £228 in VAT (= £45.60) + an £8 customs examination fee, meaning that you'd have to £81.60 before you could receive your consignment.

Probably even more worrying though is that Uuwes seem to offer the SAME products worldwide. TV sets need to be built specifically for the part of the world where they'll be used. The UK uses a different voltage (at a different frequency) to many other parts of the world and TV transmissions here use different frequencies, different colour systems and different broadcasting technologies to many other countries. So, for example, a TV set made for use in America won't work here.

In summary then . . .
. . . you appear to be trying to order a product which probably won't work here from a company that might not send it anyway (and with you having no way of getting your money back when it doesn't turn up) and which will cost you a lot to bring into the country if it does actually arrive.

Are you SURE that you want to keep trying to place your order? If so, WHY???
