Just seen that Lauren Laverne is taking over DDI from Kirsty Young, who has fibromyalgia. Can't say she's my favourite broadcaster, and I fear she's too lightweight for a programme like this. Think I'll stick to Private Passions.

I don't really like Lauren Laverne, but the BBC see her as a 'rising star' - which translates as -

We will put her on anything and everything until you like her, or until we are too embarrassed that our continued efforts to force you to like her are failing miserably, then we'll say she is 'bedding in' and force her on you for a few more months, then we'll quietly move her on to something else, and eventually drop her altogether.
