Always put the subtitles on these days, though there's not a lot wrong with my hearing. I rarely use catch-up TV, because it doesn't have subtitles.
I watched the channel 5 Whitney film of the same name after;-)

Hi, further to the reply about using the subtitle button on my controls. I have a sound bar, a Samsung and a humax control. I can't find a button for this on any of them. I have even got the user manuals out to see what I could find. I have a little tv in the kitchen, and this has the subtitle button. So easy!
On your Humax remote bobbie (if it's the same as mine) there is a button right at the bottom on the left, next to the number 0 which says SUB - that is the subtitles one.
bobbie; Of course, not every programme has subtitles embedded, it usually tells you if it has on the TV schedules.

Thanks again for the answers everyone. Helly welly I looked at the human control, but couldn't see any words at the bottom, only diagrams. I got the humax instructions out, looked at the control diagram, and found it. Hooray. So grateful to you
So glad you've got sorted out bobbie. The subtitles have really made a difference to my TV, particularly when I watch anything American. They take a bit of getting used to, and some of the subtitles are hilarious, but if they are on a recorded programme ( for example a thriller or documentary) they are usually OK. The ones on 'live' TV make me laugh sometimes.
you didnt miss much TBH
very good reviews this am in the papers

so did catch up - and thought the 21min nail biting starter was - well... you know, unrealistic.

a tired and overpaid Beeb Hack was questioned about this and said in a fatigued way ( he really had more pressing matters to attend to) " I get quite tired being asked to comment on this however this time: "Prince Harry and hisbollahi friends" does require us to insist that a not time at all did we suggest ....."

jesus what a party pooper - Prince Harry and his brother's friends

I thought it was excellent in every department; acting, script, photography and editing, (though it might have been a bit top heavy in woman's roles -the black-lady in charge of the rescue operation was stretching things a bit!) If you were unimpressed, I for one would be intrigued to learn what, in the same genre, you think is/was better? please.
part 2 tonight !! thought it excellent..sound ok for me
I had bad dreams last night, defending Prince William and Harry, the latter without his new Labrador.
bad dreams post Bodyguard of course....should I watch it tonight?
A bit steamy tonight. It's excellent.
Very very good. About time something decent was on TV. Quite chilling that this sort of thing is happening behind the scenes (not the sex.....the anti terrorism).
I thought the actress who played the Explosives policewoman was dreadful. Gina McKee I think?
Phew....hell get sent to the tower ! Great telly.
yeah much better tonight

Kh _ I didnt think it very realistic that anyone could talk down a bomber.
Another great episode.
