no what really is sad
Suicide is the most common cause of death for men aged 20-49 years in England and Wales
Question Author
very sad ;0(
I was choked up :-(
Question Author
even felt sorry for devil boy David...
He's played out this male rape storyline brilliantly, as an anguished victim.
Question Author
wish he'd shave and get a haircut !
I thought it was very well scripted and well acted, as well.
I cheered when David told Shona he had been raped.
The reaction to Aiden suicide was portrayed very well indeed, showing not only how many people are affected by a sudden death but the range of emotions.
Johnny was brilliant, almost too painful to watch with Kate's anger as a contrast to his grief.

There was some light relief which was very welcome when Emma told Audrey she was negative and sarcastic. Hope Emma stays around for a while but not in bed with David and Shona
Fabulous episode this evening, very moving, and great acting, especially by Eva. Suppose Phelan will re-appear next week, hopefully for the last time!
it was sad, raising awareness is brilliant, nobody would have thought Aiden would do what he did. Same with David, so pleased he spoke out at last. Now wonder what Toyah will do if Eva wants Susie back, a brilliant episode, well done to Corrie.
Question Author
think the whole baby business will come out... poor Johnny....
Eva almost said it to Shona, when she said " I think he twigged about the baby" so soon it will all come out
Last night's episode was excellent in all aspects. Script well written, acting brilliant and very emotional (I cried a lot) and the storyline was just right to make people aware. I read that Shayne (Aiden) had so many positive Tweets about it and how many people it had helped. Glad too that David found he could speak about his story. I can't fault it last night. Well done to everyone even though I rarely sit well with some soap storylines that go too far...this one IMO had it spot on.
first they get rid of andy then aiden (made me cry).
It was sad for me as a work colleague committed suicide last year. Brought back memories.
Well done though to Corrie, well acted and very very sad.
I thought the whole episode was well done. Really glad that David finally admitted what had happened to him. Well timed to transmit during Mental Health Awareness Week.
Absolutely brilliant episode last night, the best I have seen for a while. Johnny and Eva's acting was second to none. So glad when David finally told someone. Left me totally wrung out !!
I thought that Shona's acting was brilliant, her facial expressions of sympathy was so realistic without the need to go over the top like some.

Just one criticism though I wish she would get those tatty jeans patched or even better thrown on the tip. :0)
Do we know how Aidan died? I know he was found in the bathroom, but there was no blood on Johnny so presume he didn't cut his wrists in the bath, which was what I thought at first. Maybe an overdose but not sure why he would go into the bathroom, would have thought the bedroom would have been more likely?
Yes, it was a brilliant episode. Agree, re-Shona. She is a great actress, very convincing.
