Just seen an ad on TV for this week's "Ant & Dec" show with Dec on his own as "presenter."
Question . . . does Ant still get paid as the show is still in joint names or does Dec get Ant's fee as well as his own?

Would be too costly and time-consuming to create new opening titles ?....perhaps they've come to an arrangement
Note there are some pre-recorded parts in the show that feature them both so it is not totally Dec on his own.

I am sure Dec has got more to worry about presenting the show on his own without worrying about how much Ant will get paid.
I'm sure he's "paid" a huge lump sum for all his ITV work over the year...not on a "per programme" basis....so, he'll get exactly the same whatever he does.

Their management company has a contract so the fees are constant.
I don't think anyone is sympathetic about him drink driving. They're sympathetic about how he got to this stage.
Are we?
The people who are showing sympathy. Obviously!

We wouldn't hear about it if it was Joe Bloggs.
I don't condone his actions but I feel sorry for Ant. He's a tortured soul.

Whilst many people will hold his wealth and success against him, he's still a fallible human capable of feeling heartbreak over his marriage breakdown and inability to have children with his wife.
And some are treating him like a junkie. Getting addicted to pain killers after a painful operation is a bit different than snorting coke or jacking up.
What will happen about the Jungle thingy?
Declan Donnelly asked the audience for a round of applause for Ant as " He would appreciate it".
What's that all about then?

Presumably to wish him well in his recovery. or is there something else you don't understand?
Do all drunken drivers get a round of applause?
I very much doubt they were applauding his drink driving, the law of the land will apply there.
Plenty of drink/drug drivers get round of applause's.
They might get a round in, is the applause for that?
