On TVs Good Morning Britain earlier, stand-in weather presenter Lucy Verasamy was wearing a knee-length denim dress. She said she was worried it might shrink in the rain, to which Richard Madeley said: “I think you should go outside right away and test it out!” I saw that as pretty harmless, but can imagine the PC brigade thinking otherwise. What's your opinion?

Nothing wrong with it.
Agree with you,A harmless jest.
So has anyone complained? Because if not its a bit of a non story.
About an inch below the waist.
Simple cure, ban Richard Madeley.
Good excuse to get rid of Madeley
She has every right to feel outraged, just as I did this morning when my husband touched my bottom.

#meetoo!
The day people stop flirting will be a sorry day indeed.
On the other hand, the day people learn to recognise the response to their flirting attempts, and whether or not it's worth continuing, will be quite a nice day.
Been the attention of unwelcome flirters, Jim ?
A couple of times, yes.
It's not unwelcome flirting though, it was one comment I assume in jest.

Didn't Richard Keys and Andy Gray lose their jobs over "sexist" comments - were those comments much worse?
a pretty harmless remark, but going on some things perhaps he should be a little bit more circumspect.
Sad that we've created a society in which everyone is obliged to watch every word they utter.
I don't think we have, Naomi, it's just people on TV.
Yes, woe betide a world where people have to engage their brain before opening their mouth...
Keys' and Gray' remarks were much worse, Deelicious. Those men were extremely insulting and crude. Madeley's remark was a light-hearted, if slightly silly, jest.
Are we getting cross because Madeley is a muppet or because of the *imagined* outrage of the PC brigade?
