The Mousetrap is not a book

I thought exactly the same!
I thought it was a play, not a novel?
Of course!
Maybe because 'The Mousetrap' is a play rather than a novel?
Shoat and ploat were new words for me
Interesting history too, she asked that it was not published as long as it ran in the West End.

Weren't they the Butlins aliens?
Some radio presenters I know from Worthing were in last Monday's show....

I would have thought The Mousetrap would be, at least, top 5.

If it was a Novel I'm sure it would have been Yogi.
Oh thanks and hi Mamya ...so the Mousetrap wasn't ever a novel, because it would give away the ending....I'm having a silly day....ignore me, sweetie x
Question Author
you can buy The Mousetrap in paperback which went into publication in 1954 so I would presume that was a novel
The paperbacks (and a few special edition hardbacks for original cast members) are written as a script, given that it was first a short story it would require a modern rewrite to bulk it up to a novel.

I understand your wonder at it not getting a mention in the top ten, but those who did put it forward would be wrong given the category asked for.
as far as i know it's not published under that name anyway, or in the UK
