Friday night’s edition of Would I Lie To You on BBC1 featured the newly-separated (surely he can find a good divorce lawyer) Judge Rinder on Lee Mack’s Team. The mystery guest (or whatever it’s called) round featured a man Rinder had had a crush on when they were at school but hadn’t seen since the early 90s. The man admitted he hadn’t been aware of Rinder’s crush at the time. Judging by the vey high level of embarrassment when this was revealed to viewers, I wonder if the guy had been told (by the programme makers) anything more than the fact that he’d been at school with Rinder (ie, not about the crush). It was not revealed whether this man is also gay, but as they’d apparently not seen one another in about 25 years how do you think he came to guest on this Show? Rinder admitted he used to google the guy in times of boredom. Might he have asked for him to be brought on so they could finally be introduced properly, and his crush declared? Interesting timing with Rinder splitting from his husband, don’t you think?

Not everyone is embarrassed to have been the object of a 'gay-crush'.

I don't know enough about how the Mystery Guest is chosen but imagine that he'd have been informed about what RR was going to say prior to being brought out onto stage.

As for the rest of your conspiracy theory.......well, it's all a little OTT, isn't it?
What The Funicular has this warranted to be called judge grinder!!
I would imagine the guest is told the full reason why they are on the show.
Sorry but do you have an issue with Judge Rinder or is just because he's gay?
He isn't actually a judge.
Yes Jackdaw your point on that has been noted several times!!!
He's not likely to ever become a judge. I like him for the simple fact that he is patron of one of my favourite charities, Buttle UK.

I am quite sure that had the mystery guest been unaware of his role in the show and was unhappy with it the filming would have been edited.
1.Aren't you taking a light-entertainment show a little too seriously?
2. "Interesting timing"? His "split" was announced a few days ago...the programmes are recorded months in advance. Does that make it less "interesting"?
I like him. He makes me laugh.

I thought he was great on Strictly.
The grinder thing's an obvious and slightly amusing play on words, not really something to cause a person to go off like a two-bob rocket in this reporter's opinion.
More like a thrupenny banger, douglas.
I suggest that you are seriously over-thinking this vernonk - and your OP title is offensive.
Hooray, Buzz is here. :)
