I know this won't appeal to everyone but if anyone is into Norn Irish humour watch this.
Set in Derry/Londonderry in the 90's, written by a friends school friend.
Very funny, very dry worth watching if you fancy something different.

Sorry episode 1 and 2 has been on channel 4.
I love it Islay, was in stitches at the state of them last night with the rads and everything in the chippy, I know that fella (the brother ) he used to be on RTÉ as a 'story teller' and we'd be in the knots laughing at him, it's brilliant - when one was telling the other about cordless phones - it's the future ya know haha

Its fantastic isn't it ducksie - the flaming sambucas is something us teenagers did in the 80's although we never burnt anything down lol!
Its got a second season too
Enjoyed Episode 1, haven't watched 2 as yet - as you say dry and worth watching.

NO, and I think that's why I love Derry girls, I can relate to the capers of them, although, never had to wash the chippy, often got barred out of it if I slithered down the wall in a heap of drunkeness ha in my lovely stilettos looking like butter wouldn't melt - pity they didn't keep me barred
