We have just started watching The Crown on Netflix. We are enjoying it, but I think Elizabeth is a tad over plumbed with her accent. Maybe she will relax a bit further along.

there was a dialect coach and it is agreed ( tapes and all that) that accents were plummier 50 y ago than now -
it mellows as time goes on

alot of it is true - altho - antony harold "the nutter" nutting's role in suez is not as pivotal - - he does ruin himself

and Princess Margaret's loopiness comes across well

she loved the rank and money but not the duties that came with it

as the crits say - much better than anything on the Beeb
