A man's career in shreds just on the words of one female. Bill Roach and Michael Le Vell both made a come back after certain accusations, were Coro to quick to sack Bruno?

A suspension would have been adequate
Yes, I feel sorry for Bruno, he hasn't been convicted or proved guilty. This girl could be ruining an innocent mans life and career.

Corrie let both Bill Roach and Michael Le Vell come back so why not Bruno?
I am shocked. It certainly wont be the same without Todd.
I wonder how they will write him out?
Apparently his contract ran out three days ago. ITV said they will not be renewing it.
To be honest his character did not have much of a storyline. His contract may not have been renewed in any case.
Poor Eileen, she finds out her husband is a murdering madman and both her sons have left her :(
seems peculiar..more info to come ?
they were more forgiving of Len Fairclough, and perhaps they shouldn't have been

Caran, it says his contract was terminated; I'm not sure that's the same as running out. They say they conducted their own inquiries. It seems unfair on the face of it but there's almost certainly stuff we don't know.
Perhaps Phelan will off him.
I heard it on the news on the radio this morning.
Oh no, I love Todd and him and his partner have just adopted young Summer, be interesting to see how they write him out. Feel sorry for him of course if he's innocent.
I think the producers are worried about getting the same sort of backlash as the BBC are currently getting for not sacking a BBC radio host who has been accused of similar things.

I'll miss Todd, he was battling to be good but their was always cunning and trouble not far away.
Exactly what I said on this thread.

Dave.
I am not a Corrie fan but surely anyone under suspicion of breaking the law should trot off on gardening leave until the case is proved one way or another...it is not up to an employer to decide guilt. Having said this perhaps he told his bosses that he had assaulted the woman concerned and they acted accordingly...
Maybe his brother Jason will be taken ill and he will have to go help him?

I'm just hoping if Todd goes, Rev Billy will go as well. He gives me the willies!

:-/
When I first read the news report I got the impression that the woman involved had complained directly to Coronation St bosses and that the alleged incident occurred within the last few days.

It now transpires that the matter was reported to the police on the 1st October so maybe his bosses didn't react as quickly as I thought
If the actor's contract is up for renewal, then of course the company is under no obligation to take up their option.

However, I have read the word 'terminated' in the media which suggests that he was under contract, and Granada have dismissed him.

I am quite sure that there is more to the story than is apparent from AOG's question - were it simply the word of one individual that would quite correctly be seen as unfair.

However, Granada are not stupid, and their lawyers will have advised them in advance that the termination will stick.

That coupled with an apparent absence of righteous anger and claims to be innocent, and looking for a day in court on behalf of the actor in question, he appears to be accepting his fate without question, which does infer that he regards fighting it as being against his best interests.
