Does anyone think like me that Autumn Watch is being spoilt by the very people who are presenting the programme? They are obviously reading from an Autocue in very monotonous voices, nothing as goods Country File which is extremely natural & interesting.

Chris is ok but Martin who I used to really like acts like he is presenting playschool, Michaela is a fluffy lightweight and I suspect Gillian Burke is there for the purpose of quotas seems a nice girl but also too lightweight. The watches used to be informative as well as entertaining with lots of info on migration and what birds were moving in and around the UK....

The watches used to be informative as well as entertaining with lots of info on migration and what birds were moving in and around the UK. Now its a fox version of the Krypton factor and 'oh joy how wonderful' flippin trout in a river. Hardly a surprise what would you expect Angel fish and Orca. When it was Kate and Chris it was a far better programme and then with Simon King and Gordon Buchanan doing the roaming stuff you had a better balance. At least we haven't had beavers but too many badgers. Bee eaters were the only highlight. So it was Bake off last night instead and probably Eat Well for less tonight.
I agree. Too much repeating Springwatch. Much prefer the programmes when Chris and Kate did them. Michaela is very annoying always giggling and attention seeking. As rowanwitch says like watching Playschool.
Too many of these programmes seem to be made by people who cut their teeth on Blue Peter. Is there an expression below "Dumbing Down"
I really don't think that they use an autocue, which is why they cling on to those cards with the topics on so tightly. The fact that they can present it more or less from memory is impressive, but I also am finding it increasingly juvenile, and nowhere near as interesting as it used to be.
I gave up on watching any '------watch' programme at least two years ago. I gave up because of the presenters and the rather twee approach. #
Can't stand Chris Packham and the others seem to be lightweights. I like Bill Oddy, irascible, but paissonate on the subject.
'liked' ^^^
Jourdain - I'm the same as you. Gave up on it too.

I don't watch anything that Chris Packham presents, just don't like his style.
