Monday's Eggheads -Why Do They Pick Such Crap Teams

On todays Eggheads the rival team were a group of accountants who were useless only answering 6 questions right out of 15. A team of chimps would not have got a lower score with that average. They do not even quiz regularly so why pick them.
It's about time the researchers to the programme were sacked and proper teams were selected , after there are enough in quiz leagues all round the country . Then it could be an excellent quiz

I watched it for a few minutes and then went to do the washing up....seemed a better idea than watching a team that had no knowledge about anything very much......Having said that I really can't stand that smarmy wet twit Jeremy so it is generally better that I avoid it!!!

I have been watching Eggheads for many years as I like to answer the questions. Agree with Mallyj Vine has ruined the programme for me - Dermot was much better. Vine is pretty ignorant too as well as a lot of the contestants. Can't stand the way he gives the Eggheads stupid nicknames. And all this "tremendous knowledge" Dave all the time is rubbish. The only one who has that amount of knowledge is Kevin.
I still put up with it just to answer questions some of the newer Eggs can't!

In answer to the OP, decent teams would try to go on something like Only Connect rather than a programme full of smug 'know-alls' and a sycophantic JV.

Apologies to Margie. I'm sure the show and the resident team had a better reputation when you were on. It's gone downhill. I can't bear to watch it anymore.

I liked CJ. Think he just acted that way. He did a lot of running for charity etc. Used to be a model then went into acting after Eggheads. Don't know what he is doing now.
Wish Vine and Lisa would stop "singing"! Finger on mute button just incase.

Stopped watching Eggheads ages ago, mainly because of the incredibly anoying CJ (and the divine Daphne, with whom I competed on another TV quiz); but I'd watch an Eggheads v The Chasers special edition

Yes, mints; I miss the old 15-to-1 with the tough-but-fair William G. Stewart (RIP) He was always nice to me, though :)
