Passable, can't rave about it but they haven't done too bad a job.
It didn't do it for me Ron.
Fletch to me is miscast........not the sort of part for a young "jack the lad"
Other characters do not do it for me.
Also, and more annoyingly, they all speak too fast.
it will grow on me..Fletcher boy has all the mannerisms of the origial
Not as good as the original obviously but a good effort, I like it. Silly name for Fletch though, doesn't scan, they don't have to use NSF but it must scan the same. Overall though pretty well done.
We gave up to it after about 15 mins.

Does anybody know who does the introductory talking? The voice was very familiar but I couldn't put a name to it.
It was written by the same guy who wrote the original series.
^^ The judge is voiced by Colin McFarlane
Thanks Calibax - not someone I know.
He does a lot of voice work but you would probably recognise him.

It was never going to stand comparison with the original but it isn't the worst sit-com on tv.
It can't be can it Ken. I haven't seen the re-boot yet so can't really comment however topping the original is a mammoth task.
Enjoyed it! Fresh new version. Question for Fletch about a music request .. Are you going to play any Yes? ... No ;0)
Is there a practising homosexual with bad feet , in it ?
Surely it cant be as bad as Open all Hours?
I didnt know there was a new version of Porridge, will have to keep a look out for it.
If one didn't have the original to compare with, it'd be ok. But the fast talking young Fletch has nothing on the wiley manipulative experienced original Fletch. Same location, different show.

CRUD
things in Cumbria haven't changed that much - do they have wifi, drones and drugs up there yet?
If it aint broke why fix it? Hate these remakes - never, ever stand up to the originals.
It's not a remake or he'd be called Norman and not Nigel - seems Kevin was right, he feared viewers would compare it rather than view as a separate entity, a 'chip off the block' sort of thing.

Still, worth a try.
