On Radio 2, Chris Evans involves his son on his show and bangs on about his family, Vanessa Feltz ditto with her daughters, even Anneka rIce natters about her kids. On Loose Women, Nadia Sawhala had her daughter on today, and Coleen Nolan her son, and on too many other days Katie Price gets her offspring in. As for Gordon blooming Ramsay....grrrrr. I dare say it saves on childcare, and maybe these children even get paid to appear, but in at least some cases I suspect they’re trying to secure their family dynasty continues to be high profile. Anyone else think this practice is getting out of hand and should be stopped?

not sure it should be stopped, but you would think that many have child care of a sort.
It never ceases to amaze me how people believe that other people are the remotest bit interested in their children. With so-called "celebrities" the puzzle is doubled because they seem to believe that other people are actually interested in them as well.
The photo in the paper the other day of Frankie Detorri's son riding a Shetland Pony made me want to re-visit my breakfast.
'oh' said the presenter, 'he's got his dad's style'
so blooming what!!?
Am sure there were other kiddies on horseback but they never made the papers.
I don't watch a huge amount of tv with kids in but I don't see why you're so against it. Sometimes it's useful to have a POV from a younger person esp when you're having a discussion panel about social media and how it's affecting kids. If the kids are actively taking a working role, then there are strict guidelines on what they can and can't do - and I don't think it's a bad thing for kids to see their parents working hard and emulate a work ethic. Just because its onscreen and public, doesn't mean it's not hard work.
New Judge beat me to it!! Why do parents and grandparents assume you will have the slightest interest in their children or grandchildren? It's the same as those people who believe you wish to hear their children/ grandchildren screaming like mad children or watch them run round in similarly mad fashion in restaurants etc (and I don't count McDs as a restaurant)!
Yes Mallyj and the adults keep looking around at everyone to see if they're watching their little sweethearts.
I suppose you could adapt your viewing habits and avoid the self-important opinion givers of daytime TV.

They're all full of ordure and not an original thought in any of their heads.
Doesn’t bother me at all, sometimes it’s necessary to have a child’s POV
I quite like seeing other peoples kids.
We had an annual take your child to work day wher the youngsters were exposed to their parents work place.

I can't see how this is any different or why it is problematic.
If it indeed is giving your child a foot onto the ladder of success I don't see what's wrong in that - haven't bumped into these programmes much.

Occasionally seen it on cooking shows - Mary Berry, Jamie Oliver etc - good to see children doing something creative.

Let's face it, they get a bad press whatever they do.
I think it is good to see youngsters getting involved with cooking. There is precious little cookery classes at schools so exposing youngsters to preparing food has got to be beneficial.
You see now, they do travel in packs.
Ours use buses.

totally agree
I have no problem with celebrities talking about their kids - celebrities talking about their lost kids, is a different issue!!!!!
