Did anybody watch last weeks episode? They did a healthy version of fried chicken which involves crushed cornflakes as part of the coating. I've looked everywhere online and just cannot find the recipe?

yes Smow it looked very tasty cornflakes, cayenne pepper, ground pepper and garlic salt I think all mixed and crushed together.
Dip chicken in milk then coat in cornflakes mixture.
I am thinking of trying it.

I found that Tony - yes it shows two recipes from that episode but oddly not the chicken one. Grrr. But thankyou : )
Oh I'll have a look at those Mamya - I'm assuming they must be similar. It looked very strange when being prepared but looked lovely once cooked - thankyou for those x
Plain popcorn is also good.
I'd doubt it's as good as Southern Fried.
Question Author
Popcorn? Well I'd never have thought of that...

Popcorn Chicken? one if not a few of the fast food outlets sell popcorn chicken, never tasted it, I don't thing cornflakes would be a cheap alternative for me, a box of cornflakes is almost as dear if not similar in price as a regular size chicken whereas dry bread crumbs is so cheap and tasty

;) you'll do good smow
You can also use mayo instead of milk, I use crunchy nut cornflakes, been making it for years.
I think he used chilli powder in with the cornflakes.
With regard to expense Tesco 'Value' Corn Flakes are just 39p a 500g box
Will be just as good for this recipe.
Question Author
