Only funerals of national leaders and statesmen/women are televised . Funerals are for the family and close relatives to remember the deceased in private.
No doubt there will be news coverage of the funeral but NOT the funeral itself.
There will be a bit on the news.

You also have to remember that there was also a very unsavory side to George Michael, including conviction for a 'lewd act' in a public toilet!
That casts a shadow over his life.
