This tells you what channels you get

Some you pay for such as Netflix but the catch up channels such as BBC iPlayer and ITV hub are free
It is streaming device so you get all the catch up channels (and you c an 'watch now' on BBC1 and ITV). the rets are mostly sybwcription channels, netflix , Amazon Prime etc. It works best with Prime as it's an amazon produce, but Prime is good value at £79 per year for shows films music and free delivery with online shopping.
You can also download apps like mobdro or kodi to stream other channels and live sports etc.

You need a subscription to Amazon Video (£5.99/month) or Amazon Prime (£79/year) to stream movies and TV shows.

Most stuff you have to pay for unless you load a certain app, which I can't name on here, where EVERYTHING is free.
Or you can download 'Kodi' onto it and....Shazaaaaam!
Question Author
thx for answers ..so for £79 a year are films all free?
Why couldn't you name it?
chelle 72722 has named the app for me.!!

i have a kodi box mum wouldnt have a clue lol...all free films and sport!
Thought it was advertising Zac.
There has been at least one prosecution for using Kodi. If something's worth watching it's worth paying for
..One off payment, and if mobdro installed then every channel a imaginable.!
I just bought one last week with 30 day trial of Prime, and we love it :)
The Amazon Fire Stick is a good buy if you pay the Amazon Prime Annual fee. Once you have bought the stick you do not pay any-more. Some Amazon films are free, others can be rented or bought. There are also other T/V shows for free. In my opinion good value for money. However because streaming is involved you do need good Broadband to avoid stopping & starting probs.
You can add apps such as Mobdro and Kodi and get lots of free content.
You can also add the catchup apps for BBC, ITV, 4 on deman and Five.
The Film-on and Freesat apps get you UK channels that you may not get through your aerial.
Amazon want you to subscribe to Prime Video, but the Firestick is great without doing that.
hc, I don't think there have been any prosecutions yet. This is the last i could find on a potential case:
