Have received an email this morning purporting to be from Amazon stating that they are doing identity checks on people who have not used their accounts for over a month and asking me to open a link and sign into my account. It adds if I do not do this my account will be closed. As I have used it three times in the past week I was a bit wary and when I read the email fully the english is so bad as to be laughable. Needless to say I will not be doing as asked. Have to admit it looks quite genuine to start with but I would take care.

ta for that xx
it would be economic suicide if amazon closed all the accounts that hadn't been used for a month!
Thanks for the warning BD.

The wee scrotes will try anything.
It should have gone into your spam email anyway as most spam filters spot these.
Some spammers now get confused and send , say an amazon or lloyds bank email from what looks like an ebay or paypal address.
They never seem to know my name either
thanks Bakker
didja see how they steal your ID on teevee ?
my blood ran coooold

( but I have been cloned before )

I still do cheques a lot and the little *** charge me ....
I got one yesterday about my lovefilm. Telling me they were unable to take my payment and was now overdue. I had previously told Amazon what was happening and they stated they would take 2 payments on my next payment date. It also claimed my details were not upto date, which they are.
So be wary of that too. Just incase
