i`m wracking my brains - what does he think hes actually done to deserve one. All his work I can remember was distinctly 3rd rate.

In the highly unlikely event of my being offered a knighthood, I too would decline. For me to accept one, as a republican, would be hypocritical.

Anyway, loads of people have refused honours in the past.
