Is it just me, or is it overkill putting tennis on both BBC 1 and 2?

Not everyone likes tennis!

I agree. I miss some of the normal programmes.

It's coming to an end soon. This q has been done before.
It's usual each year. It's just daytime TV anyway; in the evening they take turns don't they ? There are a lot of matches those interested wish to see. ITV usually has some alternative anyway. It doesn't last long, couple of weeks is it ? I'm unsure its worth getting het up about.
It would be overkill if BBC1 and 2 were the only television channels available and you had nothing else to fill your boring day. As it is, however........
Definitely overkill - I usually catch up on stuff I've recorded.

Old Geezer - that's two weeks too long for me! ;-(

it's ok at times when there is a major even on, what are you missing?
I don't like tennis, but I'm not bothered about it being on the two channels, there are lots of others to watch !
There are so many matches though, especially early on, so it's nice to be able to pick which one you want to watch rather than just having the one on that the BBC choose. Some prefer men's or women's tennis, some people like particular players, some games just take off and you want the chance to switch over if it's a brilliant game.

It's only two weeks and BBC finishes earlier.

It's overkill imo!
it is only for 2 weeks and there are other channels....what about the world cup...wall to wall football....or olympics ? not just tennis
i prefer sport to tat-in-the-attic, find-me-somewhere-to-move-cos-i can't-be bothered or cooking shows
well the BBC has nothing else sportswise as they have lost it to Sky or BT - it would be lovely to see the cricket....England are doing reasonably well - 240 for 4, Joe Root still going with 120-something....
It would DT. I kinda miss Chill's commentary ( didn't have to swap websites). What happened to him?
I was thinking the same, had some great threads with him on the tennis last year but haven't seem him about this year, was looking forward to some more match commentary threads.
Yes, he hasn't been on that much......
I can't even find any of his posts unless I've missed out a dash or something.
He has been on recently:

A shame, I loved his threads last year.
Thanks Eve.
