Anyone but Cameron or Milliband. They are the only two to have anything to loose so the rest can 'go for it'

And Farage is good at the pulpit. Will he have a pint of bitter under his lecturn instead of water?

I suppose a "win" for the nationalist parties is to improve in one slice of the country, so their message will seem very different to that of Labour/Tories.

Clegg was quite good last time - time for a comeback? Or a little too late?

I don't think it will be much of a debate. The format is wrong, too many participants.

The Government parties do not have a good record to defend, so for Clegg and Cameron it is more about damage limitation. Miliband is not good in these situations, so I doubt he will come out as winner. Someone from one of the minor parties might surprise us.

What does it matter who wins tonight, if it isn't dave or Ed ?

I seem to recall that Cleggie was supposed to have won a previous TV debate, in 2010. But as he entered the Election with 62 MPs, and ended it with only 57, what good did it do him ? He may or may not have won the debate but he lost the war !

Even more pointedly....what happens if Farage wins ? He still won't be PM and he still won't have enough MPs in Westminster to make any difference either way.

These debates, especially with such a ludicrously large amount of candidates taking part, over such a short time, will just look like some risible game of "Celebrity Squares in Suits"

He did in fact become the Deputy Prime Minister of the UK, so all was not lost.

Last time round the debate was 'won' by the outsider. Someone who was able to appear sensible and slog from the usual suspects: fresh faced Cleggy. If history repeats itself then maybe Natalie Bennett. And what is certain is that as in 2010 that will mean nothing
Anyway I won't be watching but I will be interested to see what happens. I agree it's a ridiculous format. PC and the SNP have no place there

It is a staged event, there will be no winner as such. Maybe independent television channels for r coverage.
