Did anyone see all three episodes?

Myself and OH did but were completely disappointed by the ending.

Again a 3 hour long series could have eaasily been done in 2. Just the merest of references to real life and absolutly no solid reason why the nanny wanted 'Tom'. Why he pushed his Mrs downstairs. And was he really 11 years old??

He was 110 years old. Where'd you get the "11 years", puternut. When he said he's been a 10 year old all his life, i think he was speaking metaphorically in that that is how his Indian nanny had always looked upon him. At least, that's how i understood this hocus pocus of a drama.

I thought the whole drama rather weak and the ending was oh so predictable.

Sorry missed the 0 off 110 (or was it 115?)
I watched the first episode and thought....ooh, moody Yorkshire, lots of grey, and more than a passing allusion (or downright pinch) from M R James, especially 'the Mezzotint'.
They just don't do atmospheric ghost stories like wot they used.
Was determined to see it out although I had my doubts after episode 1. Well that's three hours of my life that I'll never get back. Load of ***!
^ yep
Yep again...
Didn't see it. Was Palin the ghost or was it him who was haunted?
I seen all three and I'm still thinking ... surely there must be an ending.
Still a bit mystified ?

Is it me or are these dramas getting more complicated.
I'm going to have to try and get my head around the other one ..
... "The missing" ... next. Just cant keep up with the past and the present.
It must be me !
Not you at all, Alav......I was beginning to think the kids had fiddled with my television to prepare me for the confusion of the home they were going to choose for me...... ;-)
Tell the kids the average cost of a care home is £600 a week ... they will soon want to keep you at home then.
Nearly missed the vital answers as they seem to rush them. Tom was 110. He was born in India and Isha was his nanny. When his parents came back to England he cried all the time because he missed her, so his parents had her brought over to England. His parents were killed in the 1914 bombardment if Scarborough when Tom was 10 and Isha had to go back to India, but the ship she was on was blown up and she drowned. She came back as a ghost and stayed to look after him which she did. The only way to get rid of her was to sing the last verse of Scarborough Fair which apparently gets rid of ghosts!
She attacked and killed anyone who was a threat to her but Tom killed his wife when she started to sing the last verse and he knew Isha would disappear and he wanted her to stay.
It was only when Sean and his sister were going to die that he sang the verse, Isha disappeared and she took Tom with her. Presumably he would have lived as long as she survived.
So glad I realised it was going to be dire when it began.
I thoroughly enjoyed it,well acted and atmospheric - excellent!
The key point is that Aysha promised Tom she would ALWAYS look after him, so she did.
Didn't scare me at all, got bored with it !
I enjoyed it too Mamy. I actually shed a little tear at the end when Tom went with Isha.
Looks like we are in the minority Mamy and Tigger but I thought it was great.
I have always loved being in the minority.

I certainly didn't want someone to tell me word by word what I had just watched in the final scene - I love using my own imagination and interpretation.
I thought that the nanny ghost was trying to get tom to sing the last verse, by killing people close to him, so he and her could be together again in death. It certainly wasn't frightening, very predictable and no twist at the end which we all expected.
I simply couldn't make head nor tail of it and it was so dark had trouble seeing what was going on anyway. I love Michael Palin but I think he's too good for this type of thing.
