i have just finished watching the brillinat documentary Death on the Staircase on BBC.  I was fairly shocked to see Michael Peterson found guilty.  Does anyone know if his appeal has yet gone through, and where he is now, i'm guessing he is still in prison, but as the trial was two years ago, maybe his appeal has been suuccessful

Don't know, but think he won't have a snowball's chance in hell. The prosecution foul ups were crystal clear at the original case, and it went through regardless.

I think you're right loudickson.  I thought he may be innocent, but regardless of that, how they could convict him on that prosecution is a crime itself.  Nobody in their right mind could really say he was guilty beyond any reasonable doubt, he's spendind life in prison on the back of too many mights or maybes.

He is as guilty as **** I watched many many hours of this when it was first on Sky tv years ago (filmed with his very willing consent as he obviously expected to be found not guilty and would have been able to cashin on his documentary film) and there is no doubt that he murdered his wife. However, he was confident that he could pull it off that it was an accident. If you watch all the evidence it leads to only one conclusion.
