Hi there,

I have a vivid memory of an ad on BBC 1 that played when I was a child in the late 70's \ early 80's. It depicted the queens guard \ cavalry (I think!) getting ready for a parade and then doing the parade in a sunny London. Lots of shots of the horses, brass being polished that kind of thing.

I've searched for it for years but haven't been able to find sight nor sound of it, does anyone remember this too? or know of a link to it? In my head I remember that the music was good and the general ambience was very uplifting and warm, maybe that was just what it felt like to be a kid in summer :)

Thanks in advance,
Mully

Could it not just be an advert/promo for the Queen's 'Trooping Of The Colour' that you saw that year?
Or maybe a documentary about Trooping of the Colour.

Remember the BBC can't advertise any brands or products.

Thanks for replying it was definitely a short film probably less than 5 minutes, as you say it could well have been a promo. I think it ran over a couple of years.
