Saw him in 2003 and 2004 at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He won the Perrier Comedy Award for his 2003 show. "If I" was commissioned on the back of this success. He is the funniest comedian I have ever seen live (and I like my live comedy!!!). Everyone I know who's seen him is now a huge fan. He was on Live at the Fringe on ITV last night and his line about the worst time to have a heart attack had me in tears of laughter. I think his delivery is fabulous, really mellow and underplayed, and his comedy is kind of quirky. He writes for the Conan OBrien (sp?) show in the US now, and his latest Fringe Show (called These Are Jokes) is still absolutely excellent. Often over-used phrase, but I think the guy's a genuine comedy genius.
