I'm actually really enjoying this series.

Much more than last year's.

And whoever is writing Dame Maggie's lines ought to get an O.B.E.
Question Author
It must be just me then sp1814, I am really bored this series but watch it regardless
Not seen tonights episode, but must agree with sp, I think we could have a great spin off to Downton featuring Dame Maggie on her own

Question Author
I didn't watch it that week woofgang, but feel this past while it's lost the plot and writers are pulling at straws.
Dame Maggie gets the best one liners and she knows how to deliver them.
Question Author
rockyracoon and Butterbun, only for Dame Maggie, I reckon Downton would be gone long ago
I must admit, I'm easily pleased with TV, it has to be really Sugar for me to complain so I'll carry on watching Downton with a lot of enthusiasm.
Question Author
I must have reached my sugar threshold then :)
No, not lost its sparkle at all in my opinion. I love the series and actually we've both just commented on how tonight's episode was really good.
The trailer for next week seemed to suggest dame maggie is poorly...they're surely not going to bump her off???
Noooo, don't say that ethandron:(
Question Author
I've not read or heard anything of her being bumped off, I hope she stays in it.

I was quite bored tonight................
"Upstairs, Downstairs" by another name.
Question Author
thanks craft1948... I was thinking it was just me

frugalfred, that's what my friend calls it
Dame Maggie's delivery is world class...it's why she keeps getting Emmy nominations for the role.

I quite like that the pace of this series has 'slowed'. The one which featured WW1 seemed to rattle through somewhat.
Question Author
I liked the war series...maybe that's where we differ sp1814 :(

sorry for delay replying, I'm getting tired now, this turning back of the clock tires me - was a long day
Hi Ducksie.....I'm quite enjoying it....like to gaze at Mr Bates and as for Maggie Smith!!!
And I am thanking god that I looked at the above before posting as I had hit the F instead of the D in your name.....!!
I do love Downton, but it's not a patch on The Paradise. Love to gaze at Mr Moray hmmmmmm ..............
LOL@Gness!
