Trying to get tickets to go tonight, my friend has a pirate copy though so one way or another I will see it this weekend!
think i'll be going on sunday
Hopefully I'll be seeing in Sunday.. Can't wait to see what it's like.  Can't beat the original I say though, love Gene Wilder.

I'm definitely going (asap)!  A combination of Roald Dahl, Tim Burton and the ever delicious Johnny Depp - I don't know what'll make my mouth water more, the chocolate or Johnny!!!  Yup - even when he's wierd he's sexy!!!

I saw it in Paris couple of weeks back and loved it. Watch out for the squirrals its a great scene

..I got the last 3 tickets for tonight , having missed out on this afternoons showing...htink it will be miles better than the Gene Wilder one, Tim Burton is very dark , and I believe has stuck to the book moreso than the 70s version,so we should be in for a treat...
ive seen it and thought it was absolutely rubbish even cute johnny depp couldnt make it for me. sorry if you like the original then this just wont compete and they have totally ruined the oompa loompahs.
My friend has seen it and says its terrible!

I often use this website when I'm thinking of seeing a film. It combines all the ratings then gives a percentage.

..ok I'm back after a very enjoyable night at the cinema with my 11 year old Dahl fan .. and I must say it was very very good adaption of the book, though the ending was not accurate (but non the less satisfactory), personaly I think it was much better than the 71 version, dark? yes, as sinister?..no ... but that was'nt helped by me thinking that Depp was the image of a young Freddy Mercury every time he flashed his pearly whites...

...worth seeing... 7 out of 10 from me 9 out of 10 from mini me...

I saw it yesterday, and was actually quite disappointed. Charlie Bucket was brilliantly acted by that little boy who was in Finding Neverland, and Depp was fantastically weird as per usual, but it just lacked something....in fact, I was quite bored. And yes, the Oompa Loompas were just plain odd.
