Schneider Vcr No Picture

I have a Schneider VCR hooked up to my TV via a Scart to RCA connection. The audio works fine. But I get no picture. Have tried everything. Wondering if anyone has had similar experiences and whether it is a defective vcr or a defective RCA video jack (yellow).
