Google Access On My Laptop

Hi, I no longer seem to be able to access Google on my laptop. When I click on it I get the homepage for a few seconds then I get the usual "cannot connect to the internet" page for a second and I am then redirected to another search engine conduit.com which is not as good as google. I am only using a mobile broadband device (a dongle from 3) but never had a problem up until a month or so ago. Another website I can longer access is the Daily Mail Rewards site, specifically the page where you enter your numbers. Less bothered about the Mail site but google would be useful as I do a lot of crosswords and often use it. I am hopeless with any IT based technology so I may have done something daft on my laptop to cause this. Any help appreciated, sorry if this has been posted under the wrong thread... cheers

You have picked-up the 'Conduit' virus and Z-M has given you the answer for its removal.

You are Not the first ABer to have been infected with the bug which is not so easily removed. You may need to re-install your Browser. :-

Al.
It's a browser hijacker, so technically it's not a virus. But yeah, it's a nuisance anyway. You should also scan your computer with AdwCleaner.
