Yes, it looks like James Frain.

Someone mentioned on the above link about it being developed for TV by Emma Frost. Emma Frost is known as the White Queen in the X-men comic books. Just a strange coincidence, I'm sure!

Thanks very much - I've been watching The Tudors (for the second time around) on BBC2, and thought that I recognized him from that. I'm looking forward to The White Queen starting.
