I used to love Neighbours in the late 80s. That was on TV when all things Australian were fashionable in the run up to the bicentennial celebrations which I went traipsing off to Oz for. I remember a police programme with an actor called Gary Sweet who I used to fancy in those days.
i forgot about Let The Blood Run Free
I`ve just googled Gary Sweet - oh dear.

No, he just looked a lot better in those days. Age is a terrible thing!

Prisoner Cell Block H...

So bad it was brilliant, storylines poor, walls/set that wobbled, dodgy acting.

Don't know how it lasted so long?
The Thorn Birds................
Wasn`t The Thorn Birds an American production?

Boney used to be good, and Country Practise,
I loved the Thorn Birds series when it was shown in the UK. The original book was writtten by an Aussie. Rachel Ward was so glam in that (and married to Bryan Brown) and Richard Chamberlain was still believable as a hetrosexual.
The sullivans?
My brother-in law used to love A Country practice for the wombat!! He said it was the best actor. I loved Skippy too, I still remember all the words to the theme song, lol!
oh i used to watch the sullivans religiously, the sons were always in Changi, the prison camp. Tom was the really cute one wasn;t he?
