Did anyone see pointless tonight where a female contestant started to reel off more than one answer when she was only supposed to give one answer. Alexander ended up taking her first answer. Never seen this happen before. it was quite amusing.

Why do we always get someone who makes a 'joke' about Pointless being pointless.
It's a really good general knowledge quiz and far from pointless, in my opinion.

I love Pointless and always learn something from it. Had a chuckle at the "Queen" answer. Maybe she should have listened to the question!

It wasn't meant to be a joke, Tilly. It's just one of those programmes that winds me up. But OH enjoys it, and he is master of the remote control. I occasionally shout out answers when a subject interests me. Give me Mastermind, University Challenge any day, they really stretch my mind. Oh, and I really miss 15-to-1

However, Pointless is not pointless as a lot of other people say, as a joke.

maggiebee, my point was that some subjects would not be on your chosen list but you can still have a decent crack at them whereas 'London' is always going to be something that isn't common knowledge to non-Londoners. I would be stood there for 60 seconds wondering whether to scarper!
