On Friday 19/10/12 I received a telephone call from a woman representing Sky Television She quite agressively and persistantly asked me to insure my Sky TV equipment for £90.00 per annum.I had difficulty in getting her to take no for an answer.
At approx.20.45 on Thursday 25/10/12 my Sky programme closed down.Showing a ''No Signal''sign directing me to Sky.com/no signal.I did so and received instructions to enable me to reinstate the programme.
At approx.20.00 on Thursday 26/10/12 the programme closed and I had to repeat the restoration procedure.
I have enjoyed Sky TV for nearing 20 years. This has never happened before.Having regard to the initial telephone call and the subsequent events;could there be some connection.Any observations please.

I occasionally lose my signal. Might be bad weather, might just be a temperamental set. I doubt it's linked to threatening phone calls.
Phone sky they do not represent sky I had the same issue with my mil but hers cost £200 per annum when I phoned sky it was not them at all!!
We got conned for about £90 a year, but i worked it out it was better than paying £60 for a call out every time [which is what they threatened us].I wish we had the choice of being cable but it hasn't reached us yet.
You and me both Baza, apparently Virgin're starting to roll out here in Norfolk, but we're about the last on the list, I should live so long. We've had signal problems but only when the dish was covered with a shrub that's gone mad.
they are nothing to do with sky and should be reported
Zebo, they tried to tell us our signal was weak last summer, because of birds nesting in the dish. Cobblers, they've nested before without us getting problems.

>>I had difficulty in getting her to take no for an answer.

Why were you even talking to her ???

A total stranger phones you up out the blue, CLAIMS they are from Sky
(you have no proof), and you waste you time talking to them.

If I get an unsolicited call or someone trying to sell me something I put the phone down on them.

I suggest you do the same or you run the risk of getting scammed.

DONT believe ANYONE who phones you up and says they work for company x y or z, hang up on them.

If it is important, or from a genuine company, they will write to you.
