I'm sorry Dark Angel but, for me, there are ties each time.

Actor: Harvey Keitel; Jack Nicholson.

Acress: Jeanne Moreau; Charlotte Rampling.

Actor : Johnny Depp

Actress: I'll get back to you.  Julie Walters is high up there, but there are so many greats I'll need to ponder.

PS - Why WOULD soaps count?  Soaps aren't movies/films anyway.  They're small screen.

Jack Nicholson, Ray Winstone

Julia Roberts

My other female was supposed to be Audrey Hepburn but it went too fast!

Hmmmm, this changes regularly but for now:

Actor: Bill Murray

Actress: Natalie Portman (despite not being a big Star Wars fan myself)

acw - I know soaps are small screen, but added that disclaimer so no-one names some barmaid from Eastenders or something.

Thought I'd mention my favourites - they change over the years  actually. I used to like Patrick Swayze. Then Denzil Washington.

Goldie Hawn, Nicole Kidman.

Ok DarkAngel - no worries.  I realised YOU know the difference.  I just presumed most other people did too!!

Gene Hackman & Jack Nicholson

&

Audrey Hepburn & Helen Hunt

Sean Connery / Dougray Scott

Audrey Hepburn / Cameron Diaz

Al Pacino

Johnny Depp, Tim Robbins, Ben Stiller

Julie Walters, Audrey Hepburn, Julianne Moore

Morgan Freeman because there is something about him.

Tom Hanks for his versatility and total ability to get you to believe in the character.

Nicole Kidman, for similar reasons that I have already mentioned for Hanks.

There are a lot of great actors and actresses though, it really is hard to pick the best amongst them!

Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn

James Stewart,Tom Hanks.

Greer Garson,Ingrid Bergman.

Johnny Depp
Greta Garbo

Modern times:  Harrison Ford is consistenty good in roles.  Not a flashy actor but solidly convincing; gets me interested enough to follow the story.

Back in time a bit:  Laurence Harvey.  Good-looking in my opinion, and excellent in a variety of roles - goodies and baddies.  One of U.K.'s finest.

Oh I forgot to say I agree with the Al Pacino nomination. Especially as Mikey in the Godfather films.

Male - Christopher Walken

Female - Uma Thurman
