I think there was something that Peter said in a statement to the Police
that was a lie, dunno what though - someone may shed some light into it, not a mad fan? just mad.
I think it's to prove that Carla is a liar, she has denied there's anything between her and Peter and now there is proof.
Having an affair with a married man = no morals.
Having an affair after rape claim = no trauma, not put off men or sex.

Peter and Carla have lied to the police about their relationship, therefore Carla is a liar.

But would that prove that Frank had not raped her? So the jury would say let a rapist free because she lied about something else?
If he gets off because of the affair I don't think it will go down well with the viewing public...............it wasn't just her word there was physical evidence too.
Very true craft. He'll probably be found guilty, but get off with a light sentence
Frank maintained to the Police that the sex was consensual, if a little 'robust'. Frank has also stated that he believes Carla and Peter were having an affair at the time of his engagement to her.

His barrister will seek to undermine Carla's credibility as a witness which could lead the jury to seeing Carla as a 'loose' woman who tells lies and therefore provide enough 'reasonable doubt' to acquit.
none as far as i could see ... we wondered too! x
I think he may get off as I read somewhere that he then rapes Sally.........
That is exactly what happens in rape trials, though.
The victim's past is dragged up, going back years. The number of sexual partners, emotional stability, medical history, criminal record, relationship with friends and family, photos that show the victim partying (beware what you put on the internet) - everything.

It is sometimes said that the trial is as bad as the rape for the victim.

Physical injuries don't necessarily prove a rape. Some people enjoy rough sex, or they could have fought after consensual intercourse.

I have been fully expecting him to do the same to Sally. Suppose it makes a better story if he does it after getting off.
If he does go on to rape Sally, it will be the same situation. Sally has been seen kissing Frank.
fast trial date too!

what does she see in peter though ...
I think he's rather dishy.
Why is the victim's past mentioned in court, when the perpetator's (alleged) previous crimes are not mentioned , this is generally speaking, cos Frank hasn't any (apart from Maria, not proven)
