OK, jomifl. If I was replacing an aerial and the coax had been there for a few years, I'd re-cable it anyway.

I've still got the old analogue cable which gives a lot of interference and I'm looking for satellite type cable. The shop that forkandles gave me seems the best, Thanks

Yep, johnk, the old low-loss stuff just doesn't cut it with digital TV. Even on terrestrial, satellite coax is the way to go.
