seems to be just a usual weekend TV with a few extra soap operas and some Christmas specials thrown in (for example, Outnumbered Christmas Special, as opposed to the normal Outnumbered!!?). What ever happened to the effort the BBC and ITV used to make to put some quality TV on for the festive period?

its also a virtual replica of last years line up!
I was trying to clear space on sky disc, but then decided it wasn't worth it.
The BBC and ITV don't enjoy the monopoly they once had. In the 70's it was just them. Nowdays we have 1001 channels, internet, dvd's, xbox,ps3 etc...

The result is less advertising, financial cuts and ultimately more repeats with poorer quality programmes.

However, if you bring satellite/cable tv into the equation, then you really have 'never had it so good'.
