Flip, it may be cause he has lost some weight aswell - he seem to start off well on the show, giving good advice, but now he seems to be reading from a script, saying what the contestants want to hear....

last years fixing and vote rigging put me off it, looking at it from a distance I can see how contrived and scripted it really is. I have stopped watching it.

Gary was always my favourite even in Take That's heyday, something about the cross eyes. I think most of the acts this year are of a very poor standard.

They seem to have rubbish songs picked for them - I wonder if this is on purpose sometimes - according to my Dad, they all have trouble hitting the very low notes, but are very good at SHOUTING.... hahaha

The only one worth watching (imo) is Craig, I just fast forward through all the others. Get sick and tired of the judges saying the same old thing over and over again !

Craig has a great voice, he's been my favourite since the start & the only reason I've kept on watching...well, Gary might have been the other reason.

Totally agree, it's like he's afraid to upset them. Just tell them, Gary.... "you're shyte!"
I've been watching it recently (despite calling people who watch it, morons) and it really is cringeworthy.
I laughed at your dads comments... as mine says pretty much the same.
I do honestly think they must sound much much better than what we're hearing at home. There's no other explanation for it!
I stopped following X factor when I heard someone murder my favorite song of all time, and then Simon Cowell told them it was better than the original.... by Frank Sinatra. Better than Sinatra?!!
