Every time Crimewatch comes on in the evening, about once a month if that, I always say to OH that it should be on TV more often, helping solve crimes etc. Now we have Crimewatch Roadshow at 9.15 every morning but not in the evening when I would presume more people are watching TV. I dont usually approve of all the BBC repeats but in this instance I think the Roadshow should be repeated every evening at 9.30pm. What do you think ?

dear god no, dreadful programme.

if you want to solve crimes, join the police.
Ankou, I think that often the person who solves the crime is a member of the public who heard or saw something. Also pictures of people who are wanted by the police often lead to somebody being able to help locate them. These programmes are needed. In Italy I have watched a similar tv programme called Chi l'ai Visto - (Who has seen them?).
grasscarp, i imagine it mostly features pentiti, who are more likely to be seen sporting some nice new concrete boots at the bottom of augusta bay.
Italian tv is weird at times. They actually told a women they had found her daughter dead with the cameras on her as they told her, which was to my mind positively heartless. Most programmes feature a large number of scantily clad women. Also the lady news presenters dress as if for a night club, and the weather men are in a military looking uniform!

I agree with grasscarp, I think the general public are a great help in solving crime. I must admit at times the police are at a loss.
