I remeber watching a film made in the 60s/70s about a biker gang which were pursued by gangsters etc. One particularly gruesome scene saw the gangsters place wire across a road, a biker rides up..and is decapitated! I'm 99 per cent certain it is NOT Easy Rider- can you tell me the name of this film?

It sounds like a bad Australian film called "Stone" (1974) which was about a bikie gang and featured a decapitation scene the same as you describe.

I am sure I saw that on sky movies, I think it was actually called 'eye of the tiger'.  Of course I could be wrong.
